Current Work
My current work explores light as both subject and process, and imagination as a faculty of the soul, the capacity to receive, transform, and give form to what is perceived inwardly. The paintings emerge from the space between memory, intuition, perception, and the unseen.
At the heart of the work is a search for wholeness. My personal study of the Tarot, Carl Jung and the shadow, and Kabbalah has informed my exploration of the journey from fragmentation toward unity. Across these traditions, I am drawn to the relationship between the visible and invisible, the conscious and unconscious, light and darkness.
Darkness, for me, is not simply the absence of light, but a necessary space of mystery and transformation. Through painting, forms emerge from concealment into revelation, reflecting the process of bringing what is hidden into consciousness.
Most of the works on paper are studies; fragments, symbols, and explorations that lead toward an ultimate work, one that would be capable of representing me as a whole. Together, they form a visual journey through a lifetime of inner exploration, seeking to reconcile light and shadow, fragmentation and unity, the visible and the unseen.
Painting becomes the place where these opposites meet, where the invisible can become visible, and where light becomes the force that reveals, connects, and gives form.
